When onsite beats predictive planning

Predictive WiFi design is useful before cable is pulled. It helps estimate AP counts, cable drops, and coverage targets from the floor plan.

An onsite wireless site survey is the better tool after the building exists, especially when walls, glass, racks, tenants, neighboring networks, or old AP locations are changing the RF picture. Many Florida projects use both: predictive planning first, then onsite validation to see what the building actually does to the signal.

How the Florida survey process works

A Florida wireless site survey usually starts with a short scope call. We ask about the building type, square footage, number of floors, device types, problem areas, and whether the job is troubleshooting, validation, new design, or refresh planning.

If floor plans are available, we use them to organize the survey and label findings. If the plans are missing or stale, the scope can include practical field notes about how the space is actually being used.

During the onsite work, PacketScout measures the areas that matter to the business instead of only walking open hallways. That can mean warehouse aisles, conference rooms, exam rooms, guest areas, classrooms, back-office spaces, outdoor transition zones, and places where devices roam between APs.

The output should make the next decision clear: adjust, relocate, add, remove, redesign, validate, or plan a larger network refresh.

Can I rent equipment instead of hiring you onsite?
